New Beer Alert!!

We have a new bottled ale and a new casked ale going out for delivery today; John Dalton Stout and England’s Pride IPA.

Our England’s Pride IPA is our new casked special. In honour of great sporting events, we created this seasonal ale. England’s Pride is deep golden brown in colour, with a hoppy aroma and a zesty flavor – a great clean finish!

Out for delivery today, it’ll be with you just in time for the beginning of the Six Nations!

The John Dalton Stout is our new bottled special and is also out for delivery today.

This is a stout with lots of roast malt, dark chocolate & espresso flavours from the use of plenty of chocolate malt, roasted barley & dark crystal malt. Celebrated Chemist John Dalton was born in Eaglesfield near Cockermouth in 1766, and was a teacher in Hardshaw, Kendal & Manchester. He came up with the model of the atom that we use today, he recognised colour blindness as hereditary & he calculated the heights of the Lake District mountains before Ordnance Survey mapped Cumbria.

If you’d like to try some of our new specials, you can find our England’s Pride IPA in several places such as The Old King’s Head in Broughton and The Wainwright in Keswick!

You can also find the John Dalton Stout at a few lovely places too, including Hawkshead Post Office, The Priest Hole in Ambleside and Dearham Post Office!

And of course, we always have plenty here at the Brewery Tap…

Enjoy our new specials guys and hope to see you soon!

One of Cumbria’s best breweries!

That’s right, we have been voted as one of Cumbria’s best breweries!

The News and Star recently asked the public to vote for the brewery that they loved the most and to give reasons as to why they stood out. We received some amazing comments from our lovely customers:

“Ennerdale Brewery Ltd, not only do they have consistently great beer and stand as wonderful ambassadors for what we can produce in Cumbria, but they also work hard at being part of the community.”

“Ennerdale brewery does lovely real ales and supplies pins to the Punchbowl community pub.”

In a recent article, the News and Star announced that we had made the list, as voted by the people!

December Customer of the Month: The Hope and Anchor

Nestled along the Solway in Port Carlisle, this pub is a great place to pop in for some grub and an ale (or three), particularly after a good day of exploring.

The Hope & Anchor has beautiful views of the Solway and is very close to Campfield Marsh and remains of Hadrian’s wall. This area is one of Cumbria’s treasures and so if you haven’t been, make it your New Year’s Resolution!

The Hope & Anchor has also been a local treasure for many decades. In fact, the pub has just recently reopened under new management, with reviews just as glowing as ever.

They serve a superb menu at the weekends and have taken a fantastic selection of Ennerdale ales over the past few weeks, making them top of our list!

We would like to thank the team at Hope & Anchor for their support. Enjoy your free case of Ennerdale ale with your next order!
