New Ale: Ennerdale Reserve

Our new head brewer Dave has been busy, creating some amazing new ales!

Ennerdale Reserve is a special ale brewed as traditional beers were in country houses hundreds of years ago (when the gentry would have a bakery and a brewery to sustain the extended family living there). This is a beer for drinking at the dining table with the main meal of the day- to be savoured. Reserve is brewed using sovereign and Golding hops for a spicy bittiness and oaked in the fermenter to recreate a taste of beer from the country houses barrels in the stone cellar. This special ale will be available in the upcoming months keep your eyes peeled on our twitter and facebook page for updates.

Ennerdale Brewery Barrel Run 2018

in 1960 less than 1/10 children with lymphoblastic leukaemia survived. Now, thanks to charities such as Blood Wise, nearly 8/10 do.

This year’s annual barrel run was a huge success! We have raised a massive £500 for the amazing charity Blood Wise.

Blood wise is an amazing charity that spends time looking for different ways to treat people with blood cancer. We would like to take the time to thank anyone who donated or took part in the barrel run, we couldn’t have done it without you!

We would also like to thank local businesses who supported us this year, a massive thank you to the Fox and Hounds, Cockermouth Mountain Rescue, Gaiety Cinema, Sheep-ish and The Old Captains house. We hope to see you all again next year !
