We only use Natural Ingredients in our real Cumbrian ale from Ennerdale
Our beers start with only four ingredients – water, malt, hops and yeast. It’s very important to us that our beers are brewed using ingredients which are as fresh and natural as possible.
The water is naturally pure and soft from the valley of Ennerdale and we use only the finest malts, which are freshly kiln-dried and milled especially for us.
Our flavoursome hops are whole-leaf, dried hops.
Our yeast is developed from one of the longest established English Ale Yeasts. We harvest yeast from each fermentation to use in the next brew to maintain those distinctive flavours.
Our beers are fermented for a week, then carefully transferred to racking and conditioning vessels for up to six days, depending on the recipe. Pure natural goodness!
