May Customer of the Month: The Wasdale Head Inn, Wasdale

Situated at the head of remote Wasdale and surrounded by mountains, The Wasdale Head Inn is the perfect base for walkers and climbers. If you’re seeking the superlative, look no further, Wasdale is home to England’s highest mountain, deepest lake and the smallest church.

The Wasdale Head Inn has been used by travelers for over two hundred years and its authentic, warm, friendly bar and restaurant still serves great food (and ales!) to hungry tourists.

The Wasdale Head Inn boasts stunning, comfortable rooms, but if you prefer the great outdoors they also have their own campsite- complete with hot showers and the option of breakfast butties!

With the summer approaching, The Wasdale Head Inn are stocking more of our ales each week. So what are you waiting for? Get yourself out into the fresh air and the sunshine before treating yourself to a nice, cold Ennerdale Ale in the comfort of their bar.

Gillian, to thank you for your continued support, you will receive a FREE CASE OF ENNERDALE ALE with your next order. Cheers!

Trashtag #success

Last Sunday we teamed up with Midas Watches, Club 135 and Y-Tea of The Lake District in an attempt to tackle some of the rubbish around Whitehaven.

We tactically hid an empty Ennerdale Ale bottle on the beach with a Brewery Tour Voucher for 4 people hidden inside of it, in an attempt to give people incentive to get involved in the litter picking. And it worked! It was a great turn out with around 50 people (and a handful of dogs) coming down to join in with the clean up.

It’s not littering… It’s methodically placed!

The team of volunteers met at Club 135, where they were kitted out with litter picking utensils, then headed out to tackle trash in the town and on the beaches of Whitehaven. Matthew Rush was the lucky winner who found the bottle and our Brewery Tour giveaway. Congratulations Matthew, give us a call to book your prize!

Rory Wood, founder of Midas Watches and organiser of the Trashtag event told us “It’s had a great reach in the local community so far… these will definitely be monthly events”.

So if you missed out on Trashtag this time don’t worry, you can always come and do your bit at the next one. We’re lucky to live in a beautiful part of the world, lets not let litter ruin it for us!

Our Pale Ale is Back- And it’s as popular as ever!

Brewer Dave has been rushed off his feet creating our Honeycomb Beer, but he has still managed to ensure we have our refreshing seasonal ale out for delivery this week too!

In fact, our Pale (ennerd)Ale has once again been so popular that we are already down to our last cask! But don’t worry, some of the brew has been sent away to be bottled and will be available at the start of May (and Dave will also be brewing more casks when he can fit it into his busy schedule).

It may lack colour, but it certainly doesn’t lack taste!

Can’t wait that long to taste the fresh, fruity, thirst-quenching taste of Pale??? These are a few of our lovely customers who got their orders in quickly and will be receiving their deliveries today and tomorrow:
