We’re super excited to announce that our new summer specialty is now available in cask, and will soon be available bottled.

That’s right folks, when the world gives you lemons – make ale!

This new ale is an old-school IPA, and has been brewed specially as a tribute to the incredible efforts of our Frontline workers.

Directors Barrie and Paul created this as a way to give a little back to those that have helped us through the pandemic – as such, all profits made from Frontline will be donated to the NHS.

“This is just our way to give a little back,” says co-creator Barrie.

And with plenty of tang, and spicy hoppiness, this satisfying copper IPA packs a bit of a punch at 4.5% ABV – but you can drink up knowing that this round is going to a great cause.

Available at the Ennerdale Tap and various pubs within the region.

The last few months have been a struggle for everyone, the world over, but as we’re easing back out of lockdown, we want to share what we’ve done to make sure your visit here is as safe as possible.

Since the country’s pubs and bars began reopening on the 4th of July, we’ve made adjustments to the Tap & Bistro, in accordance with all government advice.

Our bistro is now fully socially distanced.

Whilst we’re all used to seeing the Tap busy and bustling, to make sure everyone is the recommended distance away, we’ve reduced our seating, and spread everything out, and we’re of course enforcing the maximum of 30 people at any given time.

We’re minimizing contact.

Table service is operating as usual, but thanks to just a few small adjustments, we’ve been able to reduce unnecessary contact.

That means no more on-table salt shakers – packeted condiments and cutlery on demand.

We’ve got a swanky new Beer Garden.

Now, we can’t guarantee the weather for it, but we’ve decked out our beer garden so that you can enjoy the outdoors whenever the sun does show up.

We’re good to go when you are!

We’re still open for takeout, so whatever your reason for not being able to eat-in, you can still enjoy a lovely spot of lunch. It’s now a reduced menu, but still the super fresh, high-quality food you’d expect.

With all of these changes, it makes sense that we can get to capacity a lot sooner than before lockdown. We’d hate for anyone to be disappointed – so we highly recommend you book a table in advance.
